Vision Objects Announces Worldwide OEM Agreement with HP
Grenoble, Paris, France – April 5th, 2005, Vision Objects, the worldwide leader in Handwriting Recognition technology for digital pen-based solutions, announces worldwide original equipment manufacturing (OEM) agreement relationship with HP for the automation of forms processing.
As part of the agreement, Vision Objects’ MyScript handwriting technology is bringing handwriting recognition capabilities to HP’s new digital pen and paper technology, HP Forms Automation System (FAS) 1.2. “We are very pleased to reinforce our alliance at a worldwide level with HP, a historic partner for us,” says Stefan Knerr, CEO of Vision Objects. “This agreement further confirms our strong positioning and commitment to the digital pen and paper market, and will be the key to addressing the needs of healthcare institutions and other companies.”
HP FAS 1.2 is an enterprise solution that revolutionizes the way data from paper forms is gathered and processed by combining the simplicity of traditional pen and paper with the functionality and speed of the Internet. Vision Objects’ MyScript innovative technology has been integrated with HP FAS 1.2 to enable handwritten data captured from digital paper forms to be accurately converted into a digital format. Captured data is then immediately available for further processing in database and back-end applications. “Vision Objects handwriting recognition technology integrates seamlessly with all other HP FAS 1.2 components, enabling accurate and fast transformation of handwritten information into digital characters. HP FAS users significantly speed up their workflow process and radically reduce their processing costs using a combination of HP FAS technology and the new HP handwriting recognition engine,” says Eric Chaniot, Vice President, HP Digital Pen & Paper.
MyScript handwriting recognition technology is available for most Western languages, allowing a broad geographical application.
