Is MyScript InkSearch a ready-to-use application for searching notes?
No, actually, MyScript InkSearch is an SDK which you can use to create your own end-user applications for searching in digital ink material. It is an extension to the MyScript Builder SDK.
Back
Can I use it without MyScript Builder?
No, as MyScript InkSearch is an additional service that uses certain features of the MyScript Builder engine, it can not be used without MyScript Builder. You must use the two together or the essential functions of MyScript InkSearch cannot work.
Back
How does MyScript InkSearch work?
It uses two core elements: an indexer and a finder. You use the indexer to index the handwritten material that will be the search source and you then carry out a search with a finder in conjunction with an appropriate query. The MyScript InkSearch API is quite straightforward to use.
Back
Does indexing take a long time?
Not really. You do not have to build the index just prior to making the search: if it is convenient, your application can index at another time, for example when you download ink data.
