Luidia’s eBeam Interact Software to Include MyScript Handwriting Recognition Technology

San Carlos, CA - January 15, 2009 -Luidia, Inc., a leading provider of interactive whiteboard technology and manufacturer of the innovative eBeam interactive systems for classrooms and conference rooms, today announced their new collaboration with Vision Objects, the developer of MyScript, the highly accurate on-line handwriting recognition technology. This marriage of products further enables the eBeam user to write freely at the board, instantly converting their handwriting into typescript with ease and accuracy. This new cooperative effort yields many fresh improvements to eBeam’s handwriting recognition capabilities, including a vastly wider array of language options.

"Over the past year, we’ve had an increasing number of requests from our growing global customer base for more diverse language support," explains Jody Forehand, Luidia’s Vice President of Product Planning. "Vision Objects provides a powerful handwriting recognition engine with a remarkable breadth of languages wide enough to satisfy our users from every corner of the world."
Essentially, MyScript Stylus transforms your handwriting into typed text and inserts it at the position of the cursor in any application you are working with, including the eBeam Scrapbook software.

"eBeam software’s flexibility made the integration of MyScript Handwriting Recognition Technology very smooth and simple. We are very proud of this new collaboration which confirms Vision Objects’ position within the educational market. The combination of both Luidia’s and Vision Objects’ technologies will deliver an exceptional solution for this market," said Jean-Marc Aïchoun, VP of Sales and Marketing at Vision Objects.
