To empower tablets, Vision Objects announces new SDKs for digital writing
Nantes, February 11, 2011 - Beyond handwriting recognition technology, Vision Objects has developed new features to give more power to MyScript digital writing solutions running on iOS and Android platforms.
To meet user demand for increased interactivity and take advantage of Internet Media Tablet whose resources are less restrictive than on smartphones, Vision Objects has developed the following specific modules and SDKs:
- Shape recognition SDK: more than 20 shapes are supported, from simple circles, through polygons to stars,
- Equation recognition SDK: Recognizes complex mathematical expressions like formulas (fractions, square roots, superscripts, integrals, etc), symbols (including Latin and Greek characters) and operations (such as arithmetic, trigonometry, vectors, sets, etc.)
- Search engine: to quickly find keywords in notes, converted or not,
- Writer adaptation modules: to train the engine to a specific handwriting style,
"Today, Vision Objects is expanding the limits of digital writing, these new SDKs and modules will allow our partners to make handwritten mathematics and geometry a natural part of the digital environment." Said Jean-Marc Aichoun, VP Sales and Marketing at Vision Objects
