Nantes, October 20 2010 - Vision Objects, leading provider of handwriting recognition technology announces the 3.2 release of MyScript Stylus, its text input method dedicated to Mac OS and Windows platforms.

Designed for pen or finger-based input devices (Interactive Whiteboards, touch-screen PCs, Internet Media Tablets, Portable Media Players, graphic tablets, etc), MyScript Stylus is a powerful and interactive input method which replaces the keyboard in any application requiring text entry. Therefore users can effortlessly write URLs, mail addresses, tasks, reminders or any other everyday text.MyScript Stylus converts natural handwriting into digital text in real time with the highest recognition accuracy rate available on the market.


New features for better interaction:

  • Full screen mode: In addition to the writing pad mode, this new version offers a full screen mode so that the user can write anywhere on the screen. Handwriting is converted in real time, making text input even more intuitive and interactive.
  • New languages: With Czech, Kazakh and Vietnamese, MyScript Stylus now recognizes natural handwriting in 29 languages. This reinforces Vision Objects’ leading position in terms of the number of recognized languages.
  • Calculator module: In order to enable users to make complex calculations easily and quickly, MyScript Stylus now features a calculator module supporting square roots, powers, pi symbols, and all common mathematic signs. This component is an add-on to the standard MyScript Stylus application which converts symbols & digits and gives the result in real time. This is ideal for classroom exercises or simple everyday calculation.
